Riot Games recently showed off the latest Agent to grace its popular FPS title, Valorant. The Agent called Neon hails from Manila, and it seems like things are about to get electrifying, thanks to the Filipino character’s abilities.
The developers recently released a cinematic trailer to signify the character’s entry into Valorant by showing off its electric ability set that would wow players when she will arrive in Episode 4 Act 1: Disruption.
The trailer starts off with Neon checking out intelligence footage sent by none other than popular Valorant Agent, Sage. The former then falls into a deep slumber wherein she dreams about dominating other Agents with sheer pace and some shocking moves.
The dreams also give fans a first look at many of Neon’s abilities. Similar to the Phoenix, it seems like the new Agent can create her own set of walls with electricity. But instead of a single wall, Neon can build two of them next to each other so she could walk down between them without being seen.
Plus, it also looks like Neon will be equipped with her own pair of charge grenades that can ricochet off walls to attack enemies by creating a minor explosion. Moreover, Valorant will also introduce quick sprints and sliding with Neon and players will surely be interested to see how this affects gameplay when Riot Games drop her in Episode 4: Disruption.
Along with that, fans also received a glimpse of her Ultimate ability, which involves the character using her electric powers with her fingers to fire lightning bolts at opponents. While we don’t have the details about how much damage the ability can deal, the trailer revealed a slight snippet of the opponents glitching when hit by the bolt. So, this could mean that the weapon can cause other problems to enemies other than health reduction.
Riot Games will release more details about Neon and her ability sets with a full breakdown in the upcoming days. With Episode 4 Act 1: Disruption set to begin sometime next week, fans are excited to see what the new Agent can bring to the table, and it remains to be seen how well she will be received when she will first arrive.
