Hang On Ploopy Mouse, Ploopy Hang On

A Very Customizable Mouse For Those With Keyboard Envy

If you have gazed with envy at keyboards running QMK firmware which allows for complete customization and wished their was a mouse that offered the same, then TechPowerUp’s review of the Ploopy mouse is going to excite you.   It runs on open-source QMK firmware and is fully compatible with VIA. even sporting an optional TRRS connector to connect to a QMK based keyboard; there is also USB-C and USB-C to A available if that is your preference.

The Omron D2LS-21 switches will be familiar as is the PixArt PMW3360 sensor, capable of up to 2400 CPI.  The design on the other hand, is somewhat unique for those cut outs on the sides of the main buttons are indeed also buttons, by default copy and paste but easily programmed for other usage.  Including the wheel click, there are a total of eight buttons on the mouse, the operation of which can be customized in a variety of ways, up to and including the debounce time.

It isn’t going to be a great mouse for FPS gaming due to the low CPI limit, but with that many buttons fully reprogammable, unlike the limits in software like Logitech’s G HUB, this could be great for games that don’t require high CPI.  Click here for the full review.
