MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte was invited to attend the UniTeam’s miting de avance in Paranaque City this afternoon, presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said Saturday.

For the last day of the campaign period, Marcos, whose running mate is the President’s daughter Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio, will hold a miting de avance in front of the Solaire Resort & Casino Manila in Parañaque City.

“Syempre imbitado siya. Wala pa tayong naririnig na siya ay dadalo sa miting de avance natin,” Marcos said in an interview with radio station DZRH when asked if President Duterte will attend the miting de avance.

Asked if President Duterte will attend the miting de avance, acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said in a Viber message: “Standby.”

President Duterte’s faction in the ruling PDP-Laban party has already endorsed the UniTeam of Marcos and Duterte-Carpio for the 2022 national elections.

President Duterte, however, recently said that he will not be endorsing any presidential candidate. Although he has already expressed support for the vice presidential bid of her daughter.

We are on the administration’s side,” he added.
